What's in Stroop, with dates.

Every method and feature as it arrives, newest first, so “is it really there?” has an answer with a date on it.

  1. Launch

Every method is in the study builder

Each one can run on its own or alongside the others in one study, on the same participants.

    • Figma prototype tests, with start and goal screens and think-aloud recording
    • Website tests, with a snippet, a browser extension or a URL only
    • Code prototype tests from a zip or a GitHub repo, run on their own domain
    • Moderated interviews with booking pages, a waiting room, an observer backroom and recordings
    • Surveys with logic, piping and seven standard questionnaires, SUS, SEQ, NPS and UMUX-Lite among them
    • Card sorts: open, closed and hybrid
    • Tree tests
    • First-click tests
    • Five-second tests
    • Preference tests
    • Diary studies, installed from the study link as a web app
    • IAT, brief IAT, single-target IAT, go/no-go, evaluative priming, AMP and an implicit reaction-time grid
    • Webcam eye tracking, as a labelled beta that's off by default
  2. The assistant cites the moment behind every answer

Ask about one study or a whole workspace. Each claim in the answer carries the session and timestamp it came from, and clicking a citation plays that moment. Citations are checked before you see them: an answer whose sources don't exist or don't match is written again.

    Sample study
Three findings about the payment step, each citing the sessions and moments behind it.
  3. IATs arrive scored

D-scores with the improved algorithm, the error penalty and the speed exclusions, computed in the product and checked to four decimal places against an independent implementation. The method is published, and the R script comes with every download.

    Sample study
403 respondents scored, 9 excluded for speed, the method linked.
  4. Recordings, transcripts, highlights and reels in one place

The session player keeps the transcript in sync and seeks when you click a line. Select text to make a highlight, tag it, and drag clips from any study into a reel that exports as MP4.

  5. Share pages in your brand

Send results, reels, highlights or a report to a client by link or to named guests, with an optional password and expiry. The page carries the workspace's logo and colour, and guests never need a Stroop account.

  6. Exports to CSV, XLSX and SPSS

One dialog for every study: wide or long CSV, an XLSX with a sheet per block and a codebook, an SPSS file with value labels, raw JSON and a ZIP of recordings. Variable names stay stable between exports.

  7. Every study shows how long it has been in the field

Under each study's header: the days it has been live as filled cells, what it has cost so far and any allowance used. It updates the moment the study is paused, resumed or closed.

    Sample study
Eight days live, the cost so far, and the recorded sessions used this week.
  8. A usage statement for each client, every month

Each workspace gets its own statement as a PDF and a CSV, with a line per study, ready to attach to the invoice you send your client.

    Sample study
Larkspur Bank's March: three studies, days and dollars, PDF and CSV.
  9. We tell you when a live study goes quiet

If a live study has had no new responses for 3 days, its owner gets an email with one-click Close and Pause links and 10 minutes to undo. After 7 idle days the study pauses itself, with a warning first.

  10. Study data deleted on schedule

Each workspace sets how long study data is kept after a study closes, 12 months by default. Owners get 14 days' notice, and every deletion is written to a log kept for 6 years.

  11. Two-step verification, an audit log and webhooks

Members can turn on two-step verification and owners can require it. Settings shows who did what and when. Webhooks deliver signed study and session events to your own systems.

Stroop is the all-in-one research and testing platform. Run usability tests, prototypes, surveys, tree tests, diaries and IATs in one study, and get results back transcribed, scored and charted, with every finding linked to the session it came from.
